Living your life with the Lap Band® System
Adjustments are a crucial part of your success
- To get the best results, you may need several adjustments
- Our surgeon uses a fine needle to inject or withdraw saline from the Lap Band System via the access port.
- Consistent follow-up ensures that you find the Green Zone- the optimal level of restriction to meet your individual needs.
- When you have reached the Green Zone, you will be satisfied with less food, will not be hungry between meals, and will steadily lose about 1 to 2 pounds per week.
Determining when adjustments are needed:
To determine if an adjustment is needed, our surgeon will consider
- Your hunger
- Your weight loss
- The amount of food you can comfortably eat
- How frequently you exercise
- How much fluid is already in your Lap-Band System
